This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of Slopsleuth. It supplements and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination without refund.

You may upload only manuscripts you have rights to audit

Manuscripts you authored
Manuscripts you have a contractual or legal right to evaluate (e.g., an agent evaluating a manuscript a writer submitted to you)
Public-domain texts

You may not upload:

Copyrighted works obtained without authorization
Manuscripts owned by clients of competing services
Confidential or under-NDA materials you do not have authority to process through a third-party tool

Prohibited uses of the Service

You may not:

Reverse engineer the Service, including attempting to extract our regular expressions, calibration thresholds, audit logic, or scoring formulas
Build a competing product using outputs from the Service
Mass / automated access — use scripts, bots, or scrapers that exceed normal interactive use, except via an API we expressly authorize
Resell or sublicense the Service or Audit Output as a standalone product without our written agreement
Circumvent paywalls or limits, including by creating multiple Accounts to abuse free trials
Misrepresent Audit Output, including presenting Slopsleuth reports as authoritative determinations of AI authorship, or altering reports before forwarding them
Use the Service to harass, defame, or publicly accuse identifiable persons of using AI based solely on Audit Output

Account integrity

You may not share Account credentials. Each paid seat is for one named user, except where the subscription tier expressly permits multiple seats.

Enforcement

We may, at our discretion: issue warnings, suspend access pending investigation, terminate Accounts without refund, or pursue legal remedies.
